We have a short list! Twelve stories have gone through to the final round of judging.

Click on the ‘About’ link in the menu at the top of this page to view.

The competition results will be announced at a Festival event in Frome Library at 2.30 pm on Sunday July 10th, when this year’s guest judge, literary agent Jane Judd, will present the prizes. This is a free event, so if you are in the area, do come and support the entrants and the competition.

Earlier in the day, there will be a short story writing workshop with Alison Clink, a workshop on using myth in contemporary poetry with Rosie Jackson and an ‘Ask the Agent’ session with Jane Judd in conversation with  Alison Clink plus questions from the floor – all in Frome Library. Visit  http://www.fromefestival.co.uk to book.

Thank you to all the writers – local, national and world-wide – who have supported the competition. We love receiving your stories!
