Stay well and keep writing!

Coronavirus update 26 March 2020:

Please note that while Frome Festival itself has sadly been cancelled for this year, the Short Story Competition is not affected, as entries are forwarded to readers and judges digitally. Keep writing and submitting your stories!

Although Frome Library, like many other venues, is closed to the public, providing the postal service continues, paper entries will be collected weekly. However, if at all possible, it would be helpful if you could enter your story online.

Thank you to all our entrants for their support.

The 2020 Frome Festival Short Story Competition is now open and we are delighted to announce that our judge this year is author, journalist and broadcaster, Bel Mooney. We had a great crop of stories last year – you can read the prize-winning entries at ‘Past Winners’ above – and are looking forward to presenting Bel with an impressive shortlist in 2020!  You have until 31st May to enter, either by post* or online. Click on ‘Rules and Prize Details’ below for more information and on ‘Enter Now’ above to enter online.
